Today, in this fast paced world achieving longevity is considered to be one of triumphs by a common man. However, taking care of the elderly will be the next big challenge. The status of the elderly has been badly shaken and the elderly in the community were not seen as an asset.

With the increasing imbalance between a generation of oldies – who are striving to live longer with perfect health and continuing into an active old age – there may not be immediate solution, but good old age homes, and good understanding between them and the younger generation who are not willing to support them, might work.
